Course: PERFORMING ARTS COURSE - 3 years, 3 full days per week
Course Details:

In Year One the main emphasis is to strengthen and secure fundamental basics in all performance skills.  Dance technique is developed in all major areas.  All students participate in musical theatre classes which cover vocal development/technique, projection of personality and musical theatre choreography.  Acting classes incorporate several methodologies.  Students also gain live performance experience through college shows and in-house productions.

Training in the second year accelerates into a new gear and some of the timetabled classes allow students to work alongside third year students.  Core dance disciplines are advanced with added workshops and master classes.  Singing and drama tutorials are now geared towards preparing for individual audtions.  Students are involved in college productions and given guidance on personal image and personality.

Year Three is a consolidation of each student's skills.  Audition technique is studied in great depth.  Opportunities exist for students to participate in work experience in pantomime, summer season, TV specials and commercial productions for further experience.  Auditions are organised for students where interested parties will attend and select performers available for work.

The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation Scholarship will be awarded by the College as part of the audition/selection process on the combined basis of merit and financial need. Please note students will be means tested for scholarship eligibility. The Scholarship will cover course fees only and will be reviewed on an annual basis. There will be one available Scholarship for the year 2012/13.

Please note that applications made directly to The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation will not be considered.
