This degree programme enables students to train for a performing career in classical ballet, contemporary dance, jazz theatre dance or music theatre whilst at the same time gaining an internatioinally recognised qualification.

Year One starts with a general foundation course studying a broad range of dance styles, singing and drama.  Year Two contains a smaller range of core subjects balanced by an increasing number of options such as dance for music theatre and specialist acting skills,  In Year Three students will concentrate on musical theatre.  In the final semester this leads to a tour of professional theatres with a performing company.

Workshops and master classes are frequently given by directors, choreographers and musical directors responsible for major West End productions.  This, coupled with public performnaces mounted regularly through the year, offers the students the opportunity to work with a wide variety of potential employers.

In addition to the practical work, students pursue a broad range of contextual studies in dance history, appreciation, anatomy, music, film and television, theatre design and fashion, notation, choreography and cultural studies.
