In February 2014, the Trustees of the Foundation awarded a one-off grant to The Old Vic to support their Old Vic New Voices (OVNV) Talent Programme, which promotes the development of new work and provides mentoring and resources to get projects and people a start in artistic life. They will offer Start Up Awards, to provide small grants to emerging artists all over the UK, often towards actor's rehearsal fees, technical kit and script development. These artists will be provided with back up by individual mentoring and group workshops. A previous grant awarded by the Foundation in 2012 was used to support 20 emerging artists get projects off the ground and the Foundation is pleased to continue supporting the development of new work and emerging artists under the guidance and mentoring of the Old Vic's professional practitioners.
