Supporting our industry

The Covid-19 crisis is profoundly affecting the creative arts industry. During this unprecedented and challenging time we are pleased to confirm our support of two causes which, in the US and UK, are working tirelessly to provide vital assistance to musicians, performers and artists.

In the UK, Help Musicians, is providing urgent and much-needed financial hardship support for thousands of musicians who are no longer able to perform. This is part of the organisation’s wider aim to make a meaningful difference to the lives of professional musicians and create a world where musicians thrive. We are very grateful that Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation’s donation will be match-funded through the Spotify COVID-19 Music Relief project.

In the US, the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS’ special emergency fund, administered by The Actors Fund, is helping those onstage, backstage and behind the scenes to receive a full safety net of urgent and vital services in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation is working with a large group of theatre producers to match public funds made to the Broadway Cares emergency fund.

Andrew Lloyd Webber said: "I am pleased that my Foundation has been able to help support my fellow musicians as well as people across the entertainment community – onstage, backstage and behind the scenes, during these exceptionally difficult times for self-employed professionals in the live entertainment industry."
