Scottish Heritage Angel Awards 2016 shortlist announced

The shortlist for the second annual Scottish Heritage Angel Awards, funded by the ALW Foundation, has been revealed today. 'Angels' behind the restoration of a memorial tower on Orkney, the safeguarding of a Victorian-built community hall in Glasgow and a Borders-based project that has recorded Scotland's industrial brick makers are amongst those to have been chosen to go through to the finals of the 2016 Scottish Heritage Angel Awards. Read about the 2015 shortlisted Historic England Angels and then vote for your favourite. The shortlist for the 2015 Historic England Angels, funded by the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation, has now been revealed. The list includes the Tyne and Wear Building Preservation Trust for the rescue of Blackfell Hauler House and the Thornhill Parish Church for the rescue of the Church of St Michael and All Angels in Dewbury amongst many others.
